The purpose of a home’s foundation is to bear the weight of the home, as well as provide a level base for construction and keep the home’s wood-based materials from coming in contact with the ground, causing rot. Foundations may be made of stone, brick, or concrete, which is by far the most popular foundation. They’re usually embedded a couple of meters into the earth. There are also three main types of foundations. The first is the raised perimeter foundation, which supports floors and the load-bearing walls. Other foundations are built on a slab of concrete. The last type of foundation is a series of concrete piers. Concrete foundations, the most common variety used, are made in three ways depending on the type of support that’s required. The first is the poured concrete foundation. There’s also concrete blocks and post-and-pier foundations.
The foundation is one of the most important aspects of your home, protecting it from water leaking into and under your home and keeping your home’s stucture sound. A lot of work goes into the design and building of a foundation for a home or building and may involve structural engineers and geotechnical engineers that will consider factors such as scour and frost heave, which have to do with the water in the ground around the foundation. Proper care and repairing of a home’s foundation is key to a long-lasting home.

To Whom It May Concern:
We have used Rivera Construction for a wide variety of projects at our home in Rancho Santa Fe, California over the past 7 or 8 years. Our builder, Robert Weir, recommended Raul to us, and we have been extremely pleased with the high quality of work his team has done for us. Whether it has been repaving our driveway, retiling our patio, building a deck, or plastering our pool, Raul and his team have been very proffessional and punctual. They are fair and honest in their dealings, and it has been a pleasure working with them.

To Whom It May Concern:
It is with great pleasure that I recommend Rivera Construction. I have known the company for five and half years.
Rivera Construction performed structural and drainage work as part of a remodel of our home in Encinitas in 2005.
In 2009 Rivera Construction rebuilt our deck and trellis’s at the Encinitas home.
From 2006 thru 2009 Rivera Construction was a sub contractor to Weir Bros during the construction of our new home in Rancho Santa Fe.
All the work they performed on these projects met our expectations on quality, price and schedule.
This provides a letter of recommendation for Rivera Construction Inc., License #857152
I first met Raul Rivera in March, 2008 when he was repairing fire damage to the home we were considering to purchase. The construction work he and his crew were in the process of completing was of high quality and they were accomplishing a lot in a very short period if time. We then began discussions with him about posibilities of remodeling and expanding the old abode home.
Raul is very experienced with remodeling this type of home and helped considerably with the Architect as we began the design process for the upgrading and expansion.
In May of 2009 we received all the permits and approvals to begin the remodel of our home at 6101 Camino Selva, Rancho Santa Fe, CA 92067. Raul Rivera and his crew began the work then, and completed the remodel in June of 2010. Raul’s attention to detail, knowledge of all the trades, and his control of the subcontractors allowed him to deliver a beautiful home on time at a price very close to what he forecasted. If I were to remodel another home, I would retain Raul Rivera (Rivera Construction Inc.) to complete the work again.
Picturesw of our home are nice to look at, but the quality and finish can be best seen at and in our home. Should anyone wish to visit our home with Raul we would be happy to open our home for a walk thru.
